Outreach

Red Light District

Our ministry first started with prayer walks and now we run a drop-in site in the center of the red-light district. Our goal has been to provide spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional support and help to the women we meet via our outreach. This includes medical care, manicures, food drives, birthday and Christmas celebrations, baby showers, counseling, weekly meals, and more.

Prevention & Restoration

Amanecer Partnership

Amanecer, which means dawn, launched in 2022 to provide dignified work to vulnerable women in Oaxaca, Mexico by teaching them how to make jewelry. By providing stable work at a fair daily wage, Amanecer encourages women to plan and dream for a brighter future.

Girasol partners with Amanecer to provide holistic programming. Women who participate in the program receive spiritual guidance, job skills training, mentorship, and classes on topics such as self-esteem, healing hearts, and other emotional support needs.
